Paper Weaving

The project Imagined Landscapes explores the dimensional potential of industrially spun paper yarns using weave structures that are known for creating texture and surface relief. Drawing on New Brunswick’s wooded landscape and its long-standing relationship with the paper industry, the work reimagines paper not as a surface for text but as a material capable of holding form, texture, and narrative. By weaving paper into richly textured surfaces, the pieces reflect on cycles of transformation—trees into paper, paper into landscape.
